How Sam's Drumming Bug found its way onto a T-shirt.
Meet Sam, my favorite Musician
(And I’m her Mom.)
It all began with a love of music. Our household always had background music curated by Sam’s Dad.
The kids grew up with everything from Frank Sinatra to The Beatles to Blondie and Eric Clapton.
By high school, she wasn’t just listening—she was playing and she quickly mastered the drums.

Sam then took her love of music even further by building her own guitar with a luthier and becoming an accomplished guitarist, earning a few standing ovations at open mic events.

And then when her fingers got itchy for a new venue, she branched out into embroidery, taking her creativity into a whole new medium.
Here she is playing the guitar accompanied by her embroidery hoops.

So, why a Bug Band?
Well, combine the love of music with a talent for embroidery, and a charming drumming bug was born.
Perhaps Sam thought that a few extra arms might come in handy with all those drums.
My First Bug Band Drummer Tee
At my request, the first member of the Bug Band was embroidered on my favorite T-shirt. I asked to have it placed at the neckline so I could show it off with my favorite jackets.
When I wore it to a trendy restaurant and people started asking where they could get one, I knew it was time to share Sam's designs with the world.
I asked Sam if I could help, and she said yes!
Giving Back-Our Mission
Our whole family believes that most everything is better with a dog in your life. Here's Sam playing a tune for her best Furry Fan, Mango. We're not sure if she's singing along begging for it to stop!
And here is my little guy Rhett, who we adopted five years ago. Because our dogs bring us so much love, we wanted to be sure
